Presence verifies who is actually on the call using Microsoft's own participant events — and binds the approval that follows to a check an impersonator cannot pass.
What happens on the call
Your Microsoft administrator approves Presence once through an Entra admin-consent flow. Participants joining a call are verified from then on.
Graph change notifications drive participant events, and notification payloads are signature-verified before being acted on.
The connector only ever does what your organization has granted it — never more. Where a control is not granted, the approval is locked instead.
The durable control
The instruction becomes a transaction. The check sits on the transaction.
An instruction given on a call usually turns into an action somewhere else — a wire, a reset, a change of account. The meeting connector raises confidence about who is on the call; the durable control is the action-bound presence check on that transaction itself, which a convincing impersonation cannot pass. Every decision is sealed into a signed Presence Record you can verify without us.
